Inspirational HIV charity Body & Soul and innovative design agency Bold Creative are scouring the UK for gifted illustrators to bring to life an exciting new project. Aiming to challengedispel common myths about HIV, The Day Project will give fresh design talent the opportunity to showcase their work by collaborating with young people at Body & Soul to create a unique graphic novel.
Winning entrants of the competition will be invited to London to attend workshop sessions with HIV+ teenagers. Getting under the skin of the raw and challenging issues these youngsters have to deal with every day, the successful illustrators will come away with emotive material to develop in to a vital resource to help other young people better cope with and communicate about their condition.
To be in with a chance of working on this exciting project, entrants are invited to illustrate a poignant scene which could become part of the final publication. Body & Soul aims to find innovative ways to support some of the 70,000 people in the UK living with HIV. Narrated by young people closely affected by the condition, The Day is a fantastic chance for illustrators to exhibit their talent by getting to the heart of the tough issues faced by those growing up with HIV.
